Walton-on-Thames: Man held over car park fight death

Officers remain at a supermarket car park where one man was killed and another seriously injured when a car was driven at them, police say.

Police were called to Church Street in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, at about 14:15 BST on Thursday following reports of a battle between a gathering of men.One of the men got into his vehicle and is accounted for to have driven at two people.A 26-year-old male proprietor of a BMW 1 Series vehicle was captured on doubt of homicide and endeavored murder.Police have said they are not searching for any other individual regarding the attack.A man in his 40s passed on at the scene and a second was traveled to hospital.A cordon was set up behind Marks and Spencer and the vehicle leave was closedPolice said the dead man’s family had been educated and the one who was carried to clinic was required to recover.Det Ch Insp Dave Springett said: “From our underlying requests, apparently a squabble has occurred, prompting an actual conflict, which at that point brought about one of the gathering getting into his vehicle and driving at two of the other men.”Anyone who saw the occurrence or has any cell phone or dashcam film has been approached to contact police.
